INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
As with all processing plant machinery, so with our pumps, the installation must be done properly to ensure their satisfactory and safe operation. As the conditions are different for each business, the installation should be arranged and instructed by our technical department.
Pumps should be serviced at regular intervals following the recommended instructions of our trusted engineers. This ensures the proper operation of our products and most importantly the safety of your staff.
The "monopump" pumps must be filled with liquid before they start. This initial filling is intented for the necessary lubrication of the stator until the pump is filled.
When the pump stops, there will normally be enough fluid trapped in the "stator/rotor" system to provide lubrication for when the pump is restarted. If the pump has remained in an idle state for a long time or has been moved to an another position or disassembled and reassembled, it must be, once again, filled with liquid and given a few spins before starting. Normally, when you try to spin the pump by hand is a little hard due to the tight application of the stator/rotor, however this dyskinesia disappears when the pump starts to function noramally.
We recommend that the pump should not work while dry, as it damages the stator a lot quicker.
MAINTENANCE OF WORN OUT PARTS (ROTOR & STATOR)
The rate of wear on these components depends on many factors, like the nature of the fluids, the speed of rotation, etc. When the pump performance drops to unacceptable levels, either one of the two parts mentioned above or both must be replaced with new spare parts.
